First, clean the installation surface thoroughly. Remove any oil, dust, debris or other impurities that may affect the adhesion effect. The surface should be kept dry and flat, as uneven or contaminated surfaces can lead to poor fitting and even damage the membrane.

Important: If there are any protrusions or sharp edges on the surface, smooth them out to avoid scratching the membrane during installation.

Next, position the membrane correctly. Unfold the membrane gently to avoid folding or wrinkling. Align it with the target area accurately, ensuring that there is sufficient coverage without excessive stretching.

Then, fix the membrane in place. Choose appropriate fixing methods according to the actual application scenario. Adhesive bonding or mechanical fastening can be used, but it is necessary to ensure that the fixing material is compatible with the EPTFE membrane and does not react chemically with it.

For adhesive bonding: Spread it evenly on the installation surface or the back of the membrane to ensure full contact.

For mechanical fastening: Select suitable fasteners that will not puncture the membrane excessively.

After fixing, check the installation quality carefully. Observe whether the membrane is flat without wrinkles, bubbles or gaps. Press the membrane gently to confirm that it is firmly attached to the surface. If any problems are found, adjust and repair them in a timely manner.

Finally, conduct a simple water repellency test if conditions permit to ensure that the membrane can play its hydrophobic role normally. Avoid touching or applying external force to the membrane within a certain period after installation to allow the fixing material to fully cure.
