Welding Process Steps
1. Preparation
Position the vent accurately using clamps. Check fit - gaps larger than 1/8 inch may require filler material.
2. Safety Setup
Ensure proper ventilation and wear protective gear (helmet, gloves, flame-resistant clothing). Adjust welding machine settings according to material thickness.
3. Welding Technique
Begin with tack welds at each corner. Work in small sections, alternating sides to distribute heat evenly. Maintain proper angles and travel speed.
